Pippa Holt’s Artisanal Kaftans Just Landed in New York—And They’re Going Fast

She first became fascinated with Mexican kaftans four years ago when she was living in Houston, Texas. “Coming from London, I was like, ‘Oh my God, I can’t even wear my normal clothes in this heat,’ ”  Holt realized women were still searching for that kind of easy, breathable dress with a far-flung feel, so she partnered with the Mexican artisans for an official collaboration.

“They sell out very fast because it might be six months until the weavers are able to make a specific style again.”

The former British Vogue editor and newly minted kaftan purveyor was at Bergdorf Goodman to show off her colorful pop-up shop.
